Background

Is a unique modern dumpling diner that offers a global twist on a traditional classic. Think Cheeseburger, Fish&Chips, Beef Rendang, Truffle Mushroom and Chili Con Carne, hand wrapped into a traditional dumpling. We aimed to achieve a minimum of ten major pieces of editorial and ended up with 64 pieces of editorial!

Result

6 week PR campaign about the opening and inception of quirky Dumpling venue, Drumplings. Catch cry: It’s easy to find 1000 dumplings, but never ones like these.

Focus on an html press release with content that isn’t just photography. Instead, using movement in GIFs and video to heighten the brand concept.

After huge successes in the initial six week PR campaign, we decided to continue the campaign on an ongoing basis. We have since facilitated over 100 pieces of editorial.

Jethro Canteen was a brand new cafe in Hawthorn and we knew after hearing the concept for the venue that we had to work with them.

Camel’s milk and crickets were features on their menu, with a particular emphasis on sustainable eating being the focus for the PR pitch.

Once the press release was put together and they were ready to open their doors for the first time, the editorial started rolling in.

Background

The Slider Diner concept came from the team behind Sliders on Tyres, arguably one of Melbourne’s most renowned food trucks. The concept was a new flagship store in Seddon, Victoria that could provide locals and the foodie community in Melbourne alike with their delicious sliders, burgers, sides and boozy shakes. The PR campaign simply highlighted the need for a business like this in Seddon, the owner’s background in fine dining and food trucks and the delicious offerings.

Result

As a result, Good Food, Broadsheet, Concrete Playground, TimeOut, Urban List, The Herald Sun and 35 other National publications wrote about the venue and thus a circulation of over 1.8 million was reached for the campaign. The impact that the campaign had on the business was that sales had risen by 40% throughout the 6-week campaign period.
